Happy Monday friends. Today I am linking up with two of my favorites, Heather and Johannah to re-cap my weekend. Some weeks I love a Monday, and sometimes I dread them (if I’m being honest). This week, I feel ready to go and have a great week ahead of me and my family. This weekend was wonderful as well.
Friday was a rough day for miss Maddi. She had a stomach bug that lasted for a couple of days. I stayed home with her. I spent the majority of the day cleaning and wiping down all the surfaces, as well as loads of laundry. Poor girl, she started to finally feel better Friday afternoon. She had not eaten since Wednesday at lunch so this was a welcomed sight.
Friday evening we picked up Wicket…Brandon’s moms little puppy. He might be the CUTEST thing! We have loved taking care of him.
Saturday morning was slow paced. We didn’t have a soccer game until 11 so the kiddos requested toad in the road…
Maddi had her game and it was perfect and between two rain storms. I love that she was wearing her jacket tied around her waist…wait…I take that back. I told her to untie it and she rolled her eyes so big you could hear it happen, then the ref stopped the game, blew the whistle at her and had her go take it off. Thank you! #mamaknowsbest But home girl does love her accessories and style.
Sunday morning started at 3 AM because the pup wanted to play. And by play I mean run around the house at full speed. I was on baby duty that night. Brandon and Guy headed to Home Depot for some concrete to finish fixing our fence and they brought me back a black and white mocha with triple shots…thank you! And i just laid on the couch and watched Scandal. It was a great way to start my morning.
I worked on some report cards and assessments. I LOVE third quarter assessments for kindergarten. The growth is HUGE. I have students entering kinder not knowing how to hold a pencil and now they are able to write their numbers, read, know their shapes, write books, and SOOOOO much more. It ALWAYS amazes me and is one thing that I love about kindergarten.
I had a special helper in my kitchen. She made the cole slaw for dinner. It was SO yummy! I love that she loves cooking with me in the kitchen. And as you can see, we really just hung around in our pajamas all day!
After dinner we read, took showers, and watched Spy Kids. It was a great end to our weekend. What did you do this weekend? I hope you were able to relax!
